Why Beirut is (not) more important than Paris

Let’s settle this once and for all: Beirut is more important than Paris, to ME. But hey, who cares? Certainly not you, the French, the English, the Americans… or the millions of people (rough, very rough estimation) who don’t have the slightest idea that Beirut is a city and not a beer (no advertisement intended) or the millions of other people who think it’s a desert (thank you Homeland)).
